Source policy
How we select, attribute and preserve context from primary and third-party sources.
Primary-source priority
For securities and raises, we prioritize SEC filings, offering statements, amendments, financial statements, cap-table and security terms, court records and regulator notices. Issuer websites and decks are useful for understanding the pitch but are treated as interested-party material.
Signal Wire feeds
The automated Signal Wire currently requests the SEC press-release RSS feed and the Federal Reserve all-press-releases feed. It displays a limited headline, publisher, date and link. The original publisher controls content, availability, accuracy and rights. We do not alter a headline to imply a house call.
Automation and outages
Feeds may be delayed, unavailable or reordered. When live retrieval fails, the site falls back to links to the publishers’ official news pages. Absence from the wire has no editorial meaning, and the wire is not a comprehensive market record.
Attribution and excerpts
Third-party work should be attributed and linked. We use only the amount needed to identify or discuss it and do not republish full articles. A link is not an endorsement, partnership or statement that we independently verified every underlying claim.
Anonymous and confidential sources
Anonymity should be used only when information is important, cannot reasonably be obtained on the record and the source faces a legitimate risk. Editors should know the source’s identity and seek corroboration. We do not publish material obtained through unlawful access.
Disputes and corrections
If a source, date, title or characterization is wrong, contact 90seconds@elevatorpitch.news with the original record. We will assess the strongest available evidence and correct material errors under the editorial standards.
